Prasaranga

Prasaranga, the Publication division of Rani Channamma University was established in 2010 to disseminate knowledge generated at the University and also to publish important works by researchers and intellectuals from Karnataka. The basic Objective of the Prasaranga is to disseminate knowledge amongst stakeholders of University by producing outstanding books in different areas and organizing intellectual talks on recent topics.

Vision

To be a liaison between, university, students and teachers with the intention to enhance the knowledge through different academic activities.

Mission

To bring out good publications in allied areas in order to facilitate effective learning among students, teachers and public at large.
To disseminate new knowledge amongst stakeholders of University by organizing lectures, workshops and seminars.

Prasaranga Advisory Board

Since the inception of the University Prasaranga is functioning under a well formed Advisory Board headed by the Vice Chancellor and consists of syndicate members, subject experts of national and local repute and senior professors. The board has been providing guidance for better functioning of Prasaranga, to perform its activities according to expectation of University and its stakeholders.

Activities of Prasaranga

Publication of language text books for undergraduate programmes of Rani Channamma University have been undertaken periodically.
Sale of published books to the stakeholders (till 2024) has been carried out.
Organised special lectures, seminars and workshops on relevant and current topics.
Published books required for knowledge society.
Published Annual Reports and submitted to the Government of Karnataka.
From 2021 onwards Prasaranga has published a total of 54 Kannada and English degree textbooks, 04 annual reports and 18 edited books.
Organized 12 extension and promotional lectures in collaboration with different affiliated colleges.
A Shift from ‘Print and Market’ to ‘Royalty Model’ has been made in 2024 which is highly successful.

Future Plans

To bring out four Annual Journals each in the faculty of Science, Commerce, Social Science and Humanities separately.
To publish e-booklets for the benefit of students.
To Promote young writers by publishing their writings in Kannada and English.
To digitize the books published by Prasaranga and upload them on e-platforms.
