Press Report on KRCUB's National Green University Ranking 2026

Kitturu Rani Channamma University (KRCUB), Belagavi, participated in the National Green University Ranking (NGUR) 2026, conducted by Green Mentors, and secured an impressive All India Rank of 26 with a score of 90.7 out of 100. To celebrate this remarkable achievement, the NIRF/NGUR Committee, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), KRCUB, organized a felicitation programme on 29 July 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in Kuvempu Hall, KRCUB.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. R. N. Mangoli, Director, IQAC, who welcomed the dignitaries and shared the university's journey from the initial stages of participation to the successful submission of the ranking data. He elaborated on the various challenges encountered during the process and acknowledged the wholehearted support extended by the university administration. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Shri Sagar Waghmare of Dharti Geo Insights and his team for their valuable guidance and assistance throughout the ranking process.

Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Shri. Santosh Kamagouda K.A.S., Registrar, KRCUB, congratulated all the faculty members, officers, and staff who had contributed directly and indirectly to this significant achievement. He appreciated the collective efforts of the university community and encouraged both the teaching and non-teaching staff to continue their dedicated work, expressing confidence that such commitment would help the university secure even higher positions in upcoming national ranking frameworks.

Presiding over the programme, Prof. C. M. Thyagaraja, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, KRCUB, congratulated the entire university fraternity on this outstanding accomplishment. In his presidential address, he stated that such achievements are possible only through the collective efforts and mutual cooperation of the teaching, non-teaching, and administrative staff. He urged everyone to maintain the same spirit of teamwork and dedication to achieve greater success in forthcoming NAAC, NIRF, and other ranking and accreditation frameworks.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Maheshkumar N., Department of Mathematics, KRCUB. Prof. D. N. Patil, Registrar (Evaluation), Deans, Professors, Administrative Heads, and members of the teaching and non-teaching staff were present on the occasion.
