ABOUT SC/ST CELL:



The scheduled caste and scheduled tribe cell has been working in Rani Channamma University since inception. The cell started with the intention of to protect the interest of SC/ST post graduate students by implementing state and central Government policies. In view of this the students are get scholarship like day’s scholar and EBL.
There are two boys PG hostels are working in main campus viz., Brahmaputra and Krishna and who have obtained admission and stay in hostel they are eligible to get advance EBL and the same reimbursed from the social welfare office to University. In addition to EBL they avail additional amount from SCP and TSP fund. Further the University offered scholarship to research scholar according to State government and University norms.


VISION/MISSION:




1.To promote and empower the SC/ST students by ensuring scholarship according to government norms.
2.To implement the central and state government schemes in order to upgrade the educational qualifications of SC/ST students.
3.To fetch the required funds from government of Karnataka to discharge the obligations of University towards SC/ST students.
4.To extend the financial support to SC/ST students according to government and University norms to attain their academic requirements.
5.To offer trainings to SC/ST students to strengthen their skills and knowledge
6.To make stronger the SC/ST cell in order to meet the different obligations of Cell towards SC/ST students.
