Under Rani Channamma University Sports Department, several competitions including Athletic meet were organized throughout the year in different colleges. As of now we have 29 sports and games to be organized yearly for both men and women. Every year teams are selected and sent to participate in the South Zone/All India Inter University Championships. The Department of Sports started in the year 2011-12 at Rani Channamma University. Prof. S. K. Khajjannavar appointed as ain-charge Director of Physical Education and Sports, Rani Channamma University, Shri.Jagadish S. Gasti, deputed from SangolliRayanna constituent college as a Coordinator Athletics meet is a mega event conducted every year. This event is organized by the colleges which have all the facilities of 400 meters standard track and field events and accommodation facilities for participants and catering facilities etc.
